MiningTo use the mining skill, you will need to equip a pick axe, which can be purchased from a provisioner, and then move near a mountain location you want to mine and double click on the mountain side or use the ‘G’ hot key to automatically near where you are standing… Note: that the veins of the metal that are available at a location are visible on the mountain as speckles of color metal variation. ![]() After mining ore, it can be smelted in a forge. Different ores can be smelted together to create alloys of new metals. You can find forges typically around many mountain sides, at blacksmith shops or in mines. Once the ore has been smelted down in a forge it can be sold to the miner’s guild, blacksmith or into weapons, armor and other tools using the blacksmithing skill. ![]()
You may also occasionally find gemstones and gold nuggets while mining in some locations. Veins of metal will typically replenish in 15 - 30 minutes once exhausted. Additional resource types of metal ore and stone will be available in the future. Ingots & Alloys
As you raise your skill you will be able to mine more of the metals mentioned above. To smelt metals you will need to make sure you have high enough knowledge. Tip: Raising knowledge and Intelligence is important for merchant based characters. |
